Changing Flowers

I went to the cemetery today.  After all these years, it still rips my heart out to be in that place. 

 To realize the only thing I can do for you is to give you flowers that will only fade.

I think of all the things I should be doing for you, giving to you and experiencing with you,

it is then that I realize changing the flowers will never be enough 

to make up for the things we did not get to do or say.

I was strong  and I did not cry, I left you beautiful flowers as my heart broke once again.
